Judgement In Adverse Possession Case

Our clients were surprised to find someone in possession of their ancestral lands near Dublin. Requests to the squatter to vacate were ignored and it was necessary to issue proceedings in the Circuit Court to recover possession. The squatter claimed years of possession had given him an answer to our clients’ title. Following a full hearing, Judge Doirbhle Flanagan ordered the squatter to vacate within 21 days of 10th March last and ordered him to pay the costs of the case if he appealed.
