Obtaining work permits for non-Irish or non-EEA employees can be difficult. One option is to apply for a Contract Service Provider concession. This category is open to employers based outside the state (supplier) who service clients in Ireland. It is generally for employees earning over €40,000.00 but is open to employees earning between €30,000.00 and €40,000.00 (in some cases). Evidence of the contract between the supplier and the Irish client is necessary. The minimum period for any placement is 90 days. Employee must have been on the payroll of the supplier for 12 months prior to application. The supplier must employ more than 50% EEA employees at the date of making the application.
