Damages for Road Traffic Accident

Our client was involved in a road traffic accident when a car cut across their vehicle causing a crash. As a result, our client suffered personal injuries. We wrote to the driver of the vehicle which caused the accident notifying them of our client’s intention to make a personal injuries claim and we also corresponded with their insurers. Following our representations to them, the insurers of the other vehicle paid our client in respect of the car damage. We subsequently made an application to the Injuries Board on behalf of our client. Following the assessment process by the Injuries Board, an assessment was made of, in excess of €20,000.00 which was accepted by our client and the insurers of the other vehicle and paid over promptly with no attendant court proceedings or any of the additional stress involved in court.
